For example, you must be having a clean-looking bathroom right now but you must not neglect the stench of a clogged sink. There are also so many other signs of spotting a clogged sink like you can notice water drainage a little bit slower than usual. You might also see that there is a water pool every time you open the tab for a little longer duration than usual.

In this blog, we have enlisted a few ways which can help you unclog your bathroom sink without the help of a professional plumber.

1. Baking Soda And Vinegar Method

We all must have heard about baking soda in so many DIY cleaning techniques at least once. Baking soda has been famous because of its fast-acting nature of the cleaning. This method is one of the most aged methods and it has been effective since the very start. In this method, all you have to do is to make 1/3 cup of baking soda along with 1/3 cup of vinegar to make a solution of it in a measuring cup.

This mixture has a very fast fizz coming out of it which means it has to be put into the clogged drain immediately before its effectiveness ends. The fizz which happens in the solution is the main reason that it is effective. After pouring down the mixture you have to wait for an hour to flush that mixture out with hot water.

2. Baking Soda And Salt

Once again we are mentioning baking soda because of its amazing nature of cleaning. But this time we have chosen another ingredient for the mixture. This mixture or combination is also an effective way to remove dirt from a clogged drain.

To prepare this mixture you will have to mix half a cup of baking soda and half a cup of salt. Then you have to put this mixture into the drain so that it can start its action. After that, you will have to wait for about 15 minutes and then put boiling water to clear all of the mixtures out of the drain. This combination of baking soda and salt along with boiling water makes a very fast action on clogged drains.

3. Boiling Water

Boiling water alone helps with a lot of the bathroom sinks in certain minor clogs. Sometimes there is a stoppage in bathroom sinks due to soap accumulation. Boiling water is most effective when the drain has not completely clogged but it has slowed down.

4. Wire Hanger.

After all of the above methods, we have this most effective method which is a wire hanger. If you try all of the above methods and none of them works then the clog is very stubborn and thick. And when the clog is very stubborn we can use wire Hanger two per set down into the drain hole. Not only by hangers but you can also use other metal rods that are thin yet strong enough to push down the clog inside the drain. You can also choose to wear gloves and can use pliers to bend the shape of your wires.

5. Sodium Hydroxide.

There is another method which includes Sodium Hydroxide also called caustic soda. When using caustic soda for your cleaning the first thing you should ensure is your safety and protection as it can burn your skin easily. This is exactly why the best way of using caustic soda for your clog cleaning is by wearing rubber gloves and appropriate Goggles for protection.

All of these four ways are pretty effective against bathroom sink clogs. You can opt to choose any of them according to your preference or availability of material to combat all of that dirt stuck up in your bathroom sink.

All of these methods are one of the best ways of removing dirt from your clogged Sink. These are only a few ways to deal with problems of clogging but there are still more DIY remedies to get rid of this problem.

But you must keep in your mind that if your sink does not work or start working even after applying all of these methods then you must not force it with some other way as it might need professional help or a plumber to restore its function.
